We would like to congratulate one of our team members, Jacob, who recently embarked on a Castaway Survival Challenge to raise funds for the Royal British Legion. Well the good news is he survived!!
Jacob joined 17 others for 5 days and 4 nights for an adventure in the Lake District, where they learnt how to survive in the natural coastal woodlands. Led by a survival expert to learn the basics of wild camping, included natural shelter building and bush-craft. Their journey began with canoeing and paddling 7.5km up the Esk Estuary, and then a 2.5km hike to their target location to make camp, working together as a team to survive in the wild.
Jacob said of his challenge: “I’m exhausted from little sleep and lack of food, but so proud to have learnt new things, meet new people and to raise funds for an amazing cause”.
The Team raised a staggering £14,000 between them all, who made history by raising the most in one Castaway Challenge.
A very big well done to Jacob and everyone who took part.
